- ➤ Holly Christina Photography abruptly ceased operations after citing a serious medical emergency, leaving over 114 Greensboro couples unpaid & scrambling to find new vendors; the Department of Justice has launched an investigation as affected couples seek refunds for more than $550,000. WFMY

- ➤ The Weatherspoon museum hosts two exhibits celebrating Black quilting heritage: Of Salt and Spirit features 24 quilts curated by Dr. Plummer, and Harriet’s Powers by Precious D. - ➤ Eastern Guilford High principal Dr. Darrell A. Harris Jr. was named the Piedmont Triad regional finalist for North Carolina Principal of the Year — he is one of nine finalists competing for the statewide title at a May 15 ceremony at The Umstead Hotel Spa in Cary. WFMY

- ➤ Crews are repairing a 12-inch water main in downtown Greensboro, closing South Greene Street from Smothers Place to West McGee Street & one eastbound lane of West McGee Street until work finishes by 5 a.m. Five customers remain without water, and drivers are asked to avoid the area. WXII 12
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Baptist bought property at 3800 N. Church St. from Kotis Holdings LLC and plans to build a $28.4 million standalone emergency room to serve Greensboro residents. The project will expand emergency care options in the community. News & Record
