- ➤ UNCG Interior Architecture students swept every category at the 2025 AIA Winston-Salem Design Awards with proposals to revitalize historic properties. Their projects, including a mixed-use design for the local Fordham’s Drug Store and a Durham birthing center concept, show real community input * and promise real-world impact. UNCG
- ➤ GCS high school students gain hands-on tech training at UNCG’s SparkHub, opened Feb. 17 by SparkNC, UNCG and Guilford County Schools + students earn credit by completing projects in robotics, artificial intelligence and video game design on campus. Carolina Peacemaker

- ➤ Dr. Veita Bland urged residents 50 and older to update their shots (Tdap, pneumonia, shingles, RSV, flu, and COVID-19 boosters) to stay healthy as our immune systems age. The doctor said keeping up with these immunizations helps stop germs from harming our community. Carolina Peacemaker
- ➤ NCDHHS released data showing estimated measles vaccine coverage in local elementary schools reached 94.4% in Guilford County. Since December 2025, North Carolina has confirmed 23 measles cases, with 18 affecting minors, underscoring the need for continued vaccination efforts. WXII 12
