- ➤ A Guilford County Schools bus carrying Western Guilford Middle School students crashed on Bridford Parkway on Monday afternoon — a student and the driver were taken to a hospital with minor injuries as police said the bus was involved in a hit-and-run after the other vehicle fled. WFMY

- ➤ A male student was stabbed in the bathroom at Glenn High — police said a juvenile suspect is in custody. WFMY

- ➤ Officer Michael Horan, a fallen Greensboro police officer who joined the Coast Guard in 2000, was posthumously promoted from Petty Officer 1st Class to Chief Warrant Officer during a March celebration in Atlantic Beach—an honor that recognizes decades of service. WFMY
- ➤ Starting April 7, the DMV expanded hours at 42 more locations so 80% of its 115 offices are open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday — it will also offer summer Saturday walk-in services at Greensboro and Kernersville from June 7 to August 23. WFMY
