ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Guilford County Schools bus carrying Western Guilford Middle School students crashed on Bridford Parkway on Monday afternoon — a student and the driver were taken to a hospital with minor injuries as police said the bus was involved in a hit-and-run after the other vehicle fled. WFMY

- ➤ A male student was stabbed in the bathroom at Glenn High — police said a juvenile suspect is in custody. WFMY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Officer Michael Horan, a fallen Greensboro police officer who joined the Coast Guard in 2000, was posthumously promoted from Petty Officer 1st Class to Chief Warrant Officer during a March celebration in Atlantic Beach—an honor that recognizes decades of service. WFMY
- ➤ Starting April 7, the DMV expanded hours at 42 more locations so 80% of its 115 offices are open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday — it will also offer summer Saturday walk-in services at Greensboro and Kernersville from June 7 to August 23. WFMY
- ➤ City officials say crews will demolish the Bellemeade Street Parking Deck in stages over the next eight months, which will close key lanes on North Greene, Bellemeade, and North Elm plus force detours and sidewalk closures downtown. WFMY
