  • A man is wanted after deputies executed a search warrant at a Greensboro home on the 1600 block of Sir Galahad Road on Wednesday following a traffic stop — seizing 541 grams of fentanyl, 896 grams of marijuana, and 4 grams of psilocybin — as part of a drug investigation.  WXII 12

CULTURE NEWS

  • On April 8, actress and mental health advocate Ashley Judd spoke at the final Guilford College Bryan Series event at Tanger Center in Greensboro where she shared personal struggles—including the loss of her mother to suicide—and local recollections from Wilmington and Durham. Organized by Guilford College and Tanger Center staff, the event ended with audiences reciting affirmations as Judd looked forward to her birthday on April 19.  WFMY

  • The UNCG Staff Senate launched the Teacher Supply Drive in April to help 136 new teachers lower their classroom supply costs, using a survey to build a need-based list.
