ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Consumer Reports auto expert Keith Barry advises Greensboro car buyers to choose vehicles that match their daily needs as high fuel prices affect budgets. He notes that hybrids and used electric vehicles can save money while renting a larger vehicle may be a better option for special trips. WFMY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The North Carolina Association of Educators said teacher pay rankings dropped and salaries will fall because the General Assembly did not pass a state budget. (Educators statewide are watching for further state action.) WFMY
