- ➤ David Churchill will be appointed as the new Guilford County Clerk of Court when current clerk Lisa Johnson-Tonkins becomes a Superior Court judge next month. Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Stuart Albright announced the change on April 28 — noting that Churchill’s past service from 1998 to 2014 and his work as an assistant public defender and district attorney give him strong experience. - ➤ The Consumer Product Safety Commission warned Greensboro residents to stop using the Inse S6P Pro and Inse S6T vacuums because their lithium-ion batteries have caused nearly two dozen reports of overheating and at least 10 fires. The vacuums were sold on Amazon from May 2020 to January 2025, and customers must follow local hazardous waste rules for disposing of them — staying safe until a manufacturer recall is issued. WFMY
