- ➤ Ed Matthews (retiring after 38 years) will host two pet supply drives at Guilford County Animal Services on Guilford College Road. The drives are scheduled for Wednesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 20 from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to help pets in need. WFMY
- ➤ Nearly 50 restaurants are donating a portion of their sales to Potter's House Community Kitchen run by Greensboro Urban Ministry to support food bank needs in Greensboro. WFMY
- ➤ After a WFMY News 2 report, a local couple in High Point donated 400 items to Open Door Ministries + helped ease food shortages at a pantry that serves over 800 people. The facility saw supplies drop after a spoiled shipment and remains in need of additional donations. WFMY
- ➤ Mungo Homes volunteers rebuilt a ramp for veterans at Veterans Helping Veterans Heal in Winston-Salem on Wednesday as part of their fifth annual Week of Service running May 4-8. Other events include meal packing with Forsyth Backpack and mural painting at Youth Focus in Greensboro. ABC45
