Greensboro police are investigating a death after they were called to Forest Lawn Cemetery on Thursday just before 8:30 a.m.—officials said no foul play is suspected at this time.

A Greensboro woman has been charged with manslaughter and death by vehicle after a three-vehicle crash on West Gate City Blvd that injured five adults and killed Michael Farrow, 62, on May 3—police said.

The North Carolina Attorney General is investigating threats to school and state leaders by people claiming to still have PowerSchool data from a cyberattack last year — despite previous assurances that the data was destroyed.

Officials say 50 threat messages were received and the Department of Public Instruction will end its PowerSchool contract on July 1 while credit monitoring is available for those affected.

On Wednesday, the House passed HB618 to allow pharmacists to dispense ivermectin without a prescription or a doctor's visit — the vote was 66 to 47.

The bill gives pharmacists legal protection and will move to the Senate, following similar moves in other states.

Greensboro will host its first major pickleball tournament when the USA Pickleball Golden Ticket event runs from May 28 to June 1 at the Greensboro Special Events Center.
