- ➤ Greensboro police are investigating a death after they were called to Forest Lawn Cemetery on Thursday just before 8:30 a.m.—officials said no foul play is suspected at this time. WXII 12
- ➤ A Greensboro woman has been charged with manslaughter and death by vehicle after a three-vehicle crash on West Gate City Blvd that injured five adults and killed Michael Farrow, 62, on May 3—police said. News & Record
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The North Carolina Attorney General is investigating threats to school and state leaders by people claiming to still have PowerSchool data from a cyberattack last year — despite previous assurances that the data was destroyed. Officials say 50 threat messages were received and the Department of Public Instruction will end its PowerSchool contract on July 1 while credit monitoring is available for those affected. ABC45
- ➤ On Wednesday, the House passed HB618 to allow pharmacists to dispense ivermectin without a prescription or a doctor's visit — the vote was 66 to 47. The bill gives pharmacists legal protection and will move to the Senate, following similar moves in other states. News & Record
