  • The City of Greensboro is asking residents, business owners and visitors to share ideas at the Culture and Authenticity Workshop for the South Greensboro Plan—scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22 at the Brown Community Recreation Center. Input will help shape a draft plan for improvements in south Greensboro that city officials plan to complete by late summer.  Rhino Times

HEALTH NEWS

  • Blue Cross NC requested federal sanctions against LifeBrite Hospital Group on April 25 to stop what it calls a cat—and—mouse game over alleged discovery abuse in a seven-year dispute over lab test billings; the dispute, which began after LifeBrite took over the hospital in 2017, continues amid claims of a dramatic billing increase. Local health officials say the legal battle may affect upcoming changes in the region's healthcare services.  News & Record
