ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Caudill Electric's building in Kernersville was destroyed in a fire on Bodenhamer Street Saturday night—first responders contained the blaze alongside a motor vehicle accident, and the company said it would resume operations by Tuesday.  WFDD

BUSINESS NEWS

  • A fire destroyed the historic building of Caudill’s Electric in Kernersville on Saturday night — over 60 firefighters battled the blaze until early Sunday. The company said it plans to resume work by Tuesday and thanked first responders for protecting nearby properties.  FOX 8

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Crews are working to repair the 20-inch water main on Battleground Avenue today (officials say traffic delays may occur until the work is finished).  WFMY
  • The Greensboro city and Guilford County managers proposed fiscal 2025-2026 budgets that call for no property tax rate increase so July tax bills should mirror last year’s amounts. However, a property revaluation will set values 50% higher on average & may cause some bills to be much larger.  Rhino Times
