  • Patrick Ball studied at UNCG and Yale School of Drama before landing his big break on the MAX series 'The Pitt'—a dramatic role that has launched his career from the local stage to national screens. He will take on a film-noir version of Hamlet at the Mark Taper Forum this summer, marking an exciting next step in his journey.  UNCG

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Sheriff Danny H. Rogers and Police Chief John Thompson will hold a news conference to explain the new Guilford County Narcotics Task Force aimed at fighting illegal drug activity in our community—this effort follows a search warrant operation with assistance from the Reidsville Police Department that resulted in a major seizure of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash.  WXII 12
  • The DMV expanded Saturday walk-in hours to 20 offices including the Greensboro location at 2391 Coliseum Blvd, serving customers from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays until August 23—except June 28 and July 5. Officials noted that long lines—sometimes 2 to 3 hours—have led to equipment upgrades and a plan to hire 85 additional DMV workers statewide.  FOX 8
