  • Dr. Margaret B. Arbuckle was named the recipient of the 2025 Lifetime Community Service Award from the International Civil Rights Center and Museum for her decades of work in advocating civil rights and advancing education. CRIME NEWS

  • Today just after 12:31 p.m., Greensboro Police responded to a shooting on Berryman Street that left one person with life-threatening injuries — police say the investigation is ongoing —.  FOX 8
  • On Saturday, Greensboro Police responded to an assault on East Wendover Avenue at the US-29 southbound interchange and found a victim in a vehicle who was shot and hospitalized — officers said the area lanes have since reopened as the investigation continues.  ABC45

  • Novant Surgical Clinic will open a new location in High Point to provide minimally invasive surgical procedures (for general, bariatric, colorectal and cancer cases) using robotic assistance. The facility will join three other sites to extend care to more patients in the region.  News & Record
