  • On Thursday, June 12, Brent Christensen announced at a ceremony that JetZero will build its manufacturing facility for its future Z4 jet at Piedmont Triad International Airport by using a 280-foot bridge built in 2018 to open 650 acres for development—this move helped attract companies like Boom Supersonic and Marshall Aerospace USA. The project promises about 17,000 jobs and $5.3 billion in capital investment and marks a major step in Greensboro’s growing advanced aerospace industry.  News & Record

  • Greensboro police are investigating an assault on Fairfax Road — officials said it appears to be an isolated incident.  WFMY
  • Police have been investigating an isolated assault on Fairfax Road, where they found the victim—who is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries—in a local hospital; no arrests have been made.  WXII 12
  • Greensboro Police responded to an aggravated assault call on the 2000 block of Niagara Street around 1:40 a.m. Saturday and found one person with a gunshot wound who was taken to a local hospital — no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.  ABC45
  • A person was seriously injured in an aggravated assault on the 800 block of Norwalk Street at 12:48 a.m. Sunday—police said no suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.  FOX 8
  • Bladen County authorities reported that 21-year-old Nicolai Hubbling—who told acquaintances he loved killing animals—shot and killed 81-year-old William Scott Lowry near his home in Ammon and later dumped his body, with officers arresting him on May 29 in Tennessee while he left his residence and holding him without bond pending extradition.  FOX 8
