- ➤ An 83-year-old local man, Bradley Gray Hauser, died after he was hit by a Jeep Cherokee while crossing West Gate City Boulevard on Tuesday around 9:34 p.m.—the crash disabled two vehicles and is under investigation by the Greensboro Police Crash Reconstruction Unit. FOX 8

- ➤ A 17-year-old from Greensboro—Phillip Rayshawn Wilkerson, Jr.—was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the death of 17-year-old Quiteze Stimpson, who was found with fatal injuries on June 1 in the 4800 block of Chapel Ridge Road, and he is now held without bond at the Juvenile Detention Center. - ➤ Greensboro Police detectives announced Wednesday that after investigating a May death where 56-year-old Mohamed Alzoubeir Hussein was found unresponsive on a bench near the Greensboro Public Library at 219 North Church St. around 1:15 p.m. on May 10, they determined his death was a homicide—investigation is ongoing. - ➤ Greensboro Parks and Recreation gave an update on the Bingham Park project today—after the park was closed when toxic soil was found at the former landfill site.
