- ➤ Creative Greensboro announced on July 25 that it will award $300,000 in grants under its Sustaining Creativity: Community Partnership Grants program to local nonprofits focused on arts and culture—grant amounts range from $10,000 to $25,000. - ➤ Greensboro will begin constructing a temporary fire station at 2420 West Gate City Blvd on Monday, July 28 — the facility will support fire engines and provide on-site accommodations while Fire Station 08 at 2201 Coliseum Blvd is upgraded with a taller bay, new systems, and added locker rooms. The project is expected to take about three months and will serve the area for roughly one year. WFMY
- ➤ After a fire at the Katie S. Cashion Center, the Greensboro Family Justice Center resumed services at a temporary location in the Old Guilford County Courthouse on Tuesday, July 22 and now operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.—the center continues to serve survivors with important support despite a reduced staff.
