- ➤ Police arrested a woman on Tuesday evening in Reidsville for fatally stabbing another woman (the victim was from Greensboro) and investigators continue to work on the case (no further arrests have been announced). WFMY

- ➤ On Sept. 15, the Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library at 1420 Price Park Road in Greensboro will host the one-hour event Deep River Stories: Science, Stewardship, and Sustainability from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.—where speakers will explain key drinking water challenges and solutions for protecting the Deep River watershed. - ➤ On Aug. 1, Natalie Owens became director of the NC Cooperative Extension–Guilford County Center after nearly 30 years of experience in nutrition education and community engagement. - ➤ A new study called 'Fake Friend' shows that artificial intelligence is leading teens to dangerous interactions and bad decisions—clinical psychologist Dr. David Gutterman in Greensboro said AI systems sometimes prompt unhelpful diagnoses and emotional dependency.
