  • Unifi Inc. reported fourth-quarter net income of $15.5 million that included a $35.8 million gain from selling its Madison plant and $10.6 million in restructuring costs—its revenue fell 12% amid trade uncertainty and the company expects further restructuring in first quarter.   News & Record

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Guilford County Schools is getting ready for the school year as teachers finish setting up classrooms and Superintendent Dr. Whitney Oakley said vacancies are below 15 but may change while teacher pay awaits state budget approval. A new student system and safety vestibules are being installed at nine schools—and the Guilford Guaranteed program will add career resources starting in elementary school.  ABC45

  • A judge ruled that Greensboro police will have three weeks to review and redact bodycam footage from a traffic stop before it is released.  News & Record

  • Greensboro native John Isner returns to the Triad as ambassador for the Winston-Salem Open—he won the first two tournaments in 2011 and 2012 during his 16 ATP titles. He will work with organizers to promote the event and support local tennis programs.  WFMY
