- ➤ Downtown Greensboro will host the NC Folk Festival from Sept 12 to Sept 14 with headliners Sammy Rae and The Friends on Friday, Arrested Development on Saturday, and Steep Canyon Rangers on Sunday — after parties are planned on Friday and Saturday. City officials announced that several downtown streets will be closed from 10 a.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday while local parking decks offer $10 per car per day. WXII 12

- ➤ At their September 4 meeting, the Guilford County Board of Commissioners voted to name Natalie Craver as the new assistant county manager—she joined in April 2024—and her role took effect immediately.
