- ➤ Retired NYPD officer Lennox Bailey Jr., who now lives in the triad, recalled how he and his partner rushed to help near the World Trade Center on Sept. 11th, 2001 and said he remains grateful to be alive despite ongoing health issues. - ➤ Greensboro will gain 132 affordable homes through two new projects funded by the 2025 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit awards by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency — The Grayson at Randleman Crossing at 2813 Randleman Road will deliver 84 family-friendly units with $21.7 million in funding and local bond loans, while Overland Place Apartments at 3808 Overland Heights will add 48 homes with construction set to begin in 2026. - ➤ Natalie Craver became the county’s new assistant county manager and director of Health and Human Services after the Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on September 4. She will manage a large department that combines public health and social services—including the —Successful People— section—across Greensboro and High Point to streamline services for residents.
