Today, the Piedmont Triad Regional Council received a $500,000 grant from the Great Trail State Coalition to design the Reedy Fork Triad Park segment of the 19-mile Piedmont Greenway, which will link Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Summerfield, Oak Ridge & Kernersville when completed.

Construction on the segment may begin within two years and take several years to finish as growing areas need safer routes for pedestrians.
