- ➤ The Guilford County Sheriff's Office mourned the unexpected death of K9 Coal — a 2-year-old police dog from the narcotics unit who was found dead Sunday morning by Detective M. Clapp due to hemorrhagic gastroenteritis with no foul play suspected. ABC45

- ➤ D. Jerome returned to Greensboro to star as the Tin Man in The Wiz national tour at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. - ➤ The Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts hosted its second annual School Days program for 320 students from schools in the Triad on Oct. 13 and Oct. 20. Students learned about how a performing arts center works during five breakout sessions (covering production, event management, maintenance and security, marketing and ticketing, and guest services) where they asked questions and saw hands-on demos.
