- ➤ WFMY News 2’s Emergency Food Drive received over $100,000 and 4,800 pounds of food donated on Wednesday — helping local families in need. Donors across the community united to support those who struggle to get enough food. WFMY
- ➤ CityServe of the Triad will host a Christmas Brunch and Silent Auction fundraiser on November 8 at Jamestown Presbyterian Church (1804 Guilford College Road) to help meet basic needs. Jamestown’s Board of Adjustment will meet on November 12 to review a fence variance and a Moment In Time sock hop for people with dementia will occur on November 18 at Jamestown United Methodist Church (contact Laura Gulledge for details). - ➤ Guilford County will open its new Primary Care Clinic — located at 1100 East Wendover Avenue in Greensboro — on Nov. 14 with an open house that will offer free confidential tests for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, Hepatitis B and C, and screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI and blood sugar from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic is designed to provide affordable primary care and expand access to preventive health services for all residents.
