- ➤ Greensboro Transit Agency is hosting the 'Top Off the Trolley' Food Drive starting today at 12 pm in front of City Hall (300 W. Washington St) to collect nonperishable food for neighbors in need. The donations from drop-off locations across Greensboro will be delivered by a Hopper Trolley to Second Harvest Food Bank and Rosie Wash Food Pantry and will be accepted through December 20. YES! - ➤ The Greensboro City Council approved a resolution to install a plaque at the Cultural Arts Center in honor of comic book artist Murphy Anderson—Mayor-elect Marikay Abuzuaiter said the gesture recognizes his local impact on art and culture. YES! Weekly
- ➤ Rodney Joslin, president of Old North State Detectorists, shared his passion for metal detecting during his 'Digging History' talk at Jamestown Public Library on Nov. 6, explaining that club members always get permission and use research to guide their searches. - ➤ From November 19 to 25, live music events will take place with Ross Coppley playing at Stock and Grain in High Point, Souljam at Wise Man Brewing in Winston-Salem, and Jon Montgomery at Gypsy Road Brewing in Kernersville, while High Point University’s play Hello, Dolly! began on November 19 and runs until November 23. Greensboro will host a Fall Festival at the Griffin Center Park along with a community music series at Guilford College and karaoke at Grandover Resort on November 22—plus a family-friendly holiday party in High Point is planned for November 22.
